Under the Sky that Could Come Falling at Any Moment
This episode came as a surprise. After an incredible and dramatic fight between Risotto Nero and Doppio, we got a rather solemn episode with an exclusive focus on Abbacchio.
I must say I’m really sad about how Abbacchio went out, but at the same time, his kind heart ripped a hole in his chest (except the hole was on the wrong side). I really wonder why Doppio’s Emperor Crimson ability didn’t go for the heart.
This gave Abbacchio the chance to carve out the mafia boss’s true caricature on the rocks of the Sardinian beach. So, Abbacchio accomplished his mission and went out like a true hero.
His memory will live on in the hearts of the crew and the kids he helped. I really feel bad for the kid that got attacked by Doppio though. I really hope Bucciarati helped him out.
I felt that the flashback to Abbacchio with his old police officer comrade really showed us what was on his mind. The rigor of duty and intent of action far outweigh the thought of the result.
Looking back, it feels like Moody Jazz and Abbacchio were created for this very reason.
This will (personally) be a memorable frame of Bucciarati pursuing his duty as leader with great pain in his heart. |
And must I point out explicitly how good the crew’s reaction to carrying out the duty was? Splendid voice acting on Narancia, Giorno, and Bucciarati with a really moody score. It was a good sendoff with a great message for the crew and the audience as a whole. You will be remembered, Abbacchio. Rest in Peace.
R.I.P. Abbacchio, You will be missed! |
